  • Overview of our services

    Visits are usually between 2 and 5 hours long, depending on the needs of your household. Housekeeping Helpers wears badges, uniforms, and has signs on the vehicles so that you can easily identify us when we arrive.

    Housekeeping Helpers will:
  • Give you a set time for your cleaning, with a one hour variance to allow for traffic and road conditions;
  • Complete all services described in the home plan, and
  • Leave a completed plan on the kitchen counter or designated area;
  • Provide its own cleaning products and tools, except agreed upon according to your preferences;
  • Make suggestions regarding products/procedures to ensure prompt and thorough cleaning of household;
  • Maintain client house keys, home plans, and alarm codes in a fireproof safe at the residence of the owner, Shalena Goss.

  • Housekeeping Helpers uses green cleaning tools and environmently friendly products that are safe for people, pets, and the planet. We also use Oreck Vacuum cleaners with The Celic® Hypo-Allergenic filtering system and Odor Fighting Hypo-Allergenic Vacuum Bags. This hypo-allergenic outer vacuum bag traps 99.9% of all dust and irritants that are in the air.

    What is the DEEP-CLEAN service all about?

    Housekeeping Helpers uses a rotating house cleaning system (DEEP-CLEAN) that maintains a consistent level of detail-clean throughout the home all year long. On the first clean, we DEEP-CLEAN the kitchen and bathroom areas and thoroughly clean the living areas and sleeping areas. The next time we visit, we DEEP-CLEAN the living areas and sleeping areas and thoroughly clean the kitchen and bathrooms. We alternate DEEP-CLEANS every time we are there so you get that spring-clean feeling all year long!

    What are the regular tasks?

    These are the tasks that will be performed each time we visit your home:

    Bathrooms
  • Cobwebs removed
  • Bathtub and showers cleaned including tile walls
  • Showers doors cleaned
  • Vanity and sink cleaned
  • Mirrors and chrome fixtures cleaned and shined
  • Toilets cleaned thoroughly
  • Window sills, ledges, and blinds dusted
  • General dusting
  • Floors cleaned and carpets and rugs vacuumed
  • Doors and door frames will be spot cleaned
  • Light switches and doorknobs wiped
  • Trash emptied

  • Kitchen and Eating Area
  • Cobwebs removed
  • Counter tops cleaned
  • Outside of range hood cleaned
  • Top and front of range cleaned
  • Drip pans or glass top surfaces wiped
  • Sinks cleaned and chrome shined
  • Fronts of all appliances cleaned
  • Floors vacuumed and damp mopped
  • Window sills, ledges, and blinds dusted
  • Microwave wiped out
  • Doors and door frames spot cleaned
  • Light switches and door knobs wiped
  • General dusting
  • Trash emptied

  • Sleeping and Living areas

  • Flat areas hand wiped or polished
  • Doors and door frames spot cleaned
  • Light switches and door knobs cleaned
  • Picture frames dusted
  • Knickknacks dusted

  • Window sills, ledges, and blinds dusted

  • Cushions and pillows fluffed
  • Linens changed (if beds are stripped and clean linens are provided)
  • Wood floors vacuumed and damp mopped

  • Faucets, sinks, and drains detailed with toothbrush

    What don't you do?

    Housekeeping Helpers does not:
  • Provide service during the summer months to homes without adequate air conditioning;
  • Provide service during the winter months to homes without adequate heating;
  • Provide service to households with unsupervised pets (please gate or crate your pet);
  • Provide service during the times that the house is occupied by unsupervised children or teenagers;
  • Operate stoves, washing machines, dryers, compactors, or other electric, gas, or kerosene appliance;
  • Let in service people such as water meter readers, UPS drivers, and so forth;
  • Stand on ladders or stools
  • Feed pets or clean up accidents.

  • Housekeeping Helpers will not:
  • Exchange keys with anyone other than the contracted client;
  • Use any cleaning product not specified in writing; or
  • Sell or share residential or e-mail addresses, names, or numbers with any company or organization.
